How does Angel Block Renewed work?

Angel Block Renewed is a very small mod. It adds a single block, so there are no machines, multiblocks, power or fluid systems to set up. Everything comes down to how the Angel Block behaves.[1][2]
Placing it
The Angel Block can be placed in midair or in fluids. That makes it handy for building skybases or building over water, because you don't need an existing block to place against.[1]
Breaking it
You can break it instantly without any tool, and it goes straight back into your inventory when you do. You can place and pick it up again as you build, and you won't have to collect it from the ground.[1]
