What is Soulplied Energistics?

2 parts

Soulplied Energistics is an addon mod for IF Souls that lets you move souls around using AE2. This pack includes version 1.0.3.[1][2]

What it does

Attach a Storage Bus to the Soul Laser Base and your AE2 network can access the Warden Souls inside it. Then right-click any IF Souls item on an Interface Filter to request souls stored in your system. Finally, attach a Soul Pipe to the Interface and it will use its Warden Souls to power Soul Surges.[2]

Where it sits in the quest book

The quest book covers this mod in the Storage chapter, which is chapter 17 of 22 in the book and belongs to the Forgotten Knowledge group. That chapter has 108 quests and opens with General Storage Options, which says it covers most of the basic ways to store your items.[2]

The quest "Soulplied Energistics" quest comes after two quests: the ME Storage Bus quest and Transporting Souls. It is a simple checkmark quest, so there is no item to hand in. Which quests come after it isn't shown in the quest text I have, so check the Storage chapter in the book itself.[2]

Tip: Do the ME Storage Bus quest and Transporting Souls first. The Soulplied Energistics quest comes after both of them in the book.[2]

How do you get started with Soulplied Energistics?

1 part

Soulplied Energistics is an addon for IF Souls that lets you move souls around with AE2. In this pack, the quest book tells its story in the Storage chapter (group Forgotten Knowledge, chapter 17 of 22), in a checkmark quest called "Soulplied Energistics" quest. You unlock it after the ME Storage Bus and Transporting Souls quests.[2]

The first steps the quest gives you

The quest only asks you to read and tick it off, but its text lays out the basic setup in order.[2]

  1. Attach a Storage Bus to the Soul Laser Base. This lets your AE2 network access the Warden Souls stored inside it.[2]
  2. Right-click any IF Souls item on an Interface Filter to request souls stored in your system.[2]
  3. Attach a Soul Pipe to the Interface. It will use its Warden Souls to power Soul Surges.[2]

Since this builds on AE2, the same Storage chapter also has AE2 quests worth a look: "Digital Storage" quest, "Certus Quartz" quest, "Fluix Crystals" quest and "Processors O' Plenty" quest. They cover the AE2 side of the setup, not this mod itself.[2]

Unverified The in-pack crafting recipes for this mod's items could not be confirmed, so this guide doesn't list which items to craft first. The quest book is the best place to check, since much of the Storage chapter's text isn't reproduced here.

How do you progress through Soulplied Energistics?

2 parts

In this pack, Soulplied Energistics has a single quest, and it sits in the Storage chapter (group "Forgotten Knowledge", chapter 17 of 22 in the book). It is a checkmark quest called "Soulplied Energistics" quest, so there is no item to hand in. You just read it and tick it off. The quest book describes the mod as an addon for IF Souls that lets you transfer souls using AE2.[2]

The route the quest book gives you

The Soulplied Energistics quest comes after two quests: ME Storage Bus and Transporting Souls. The Transporting Souls quest is not covered by the sources I have, so check it in the quest book. The ME Storage Bus side traces back through the AE2 quests like this:[2]

  1. "Digital Storage" quest: the start of digital storage. It asks for a Flawless Budding Certus Block (Flawless Budding Certus Quartz), made with the World Engine and needing the Machine Block upgrade.[2]
  2. "Certus Quartz" quest: Budding Certus Quartz grows crystals over time, and the quest asks for Certus Quartz Dust and Certus Quartz Crystal.[2]
  3. "Processors O' Plenty" quest: the Circuit Fabricator, a multiblock that creates processors for both AE2 and RS2.[2]
  4. "AE2 Processors" quest: the AE2 processors, which the quest asks for as Engineering Processor, Logic Processor or Calculation Processor.[2]
  5. a quest in "Storage": the ME Storage Bus, which lets your network see and interact with an external storage block or network.[2]
  6. "Soulplied Energistics" quest: Soulplied Energistics itself.[2]

What the Soulplied quest tells you to do

  1. Attach a Storage Bus to the Soul Laser Base. This lets your network access the Warden Souls inside it.[2]
  2. Right-click any IF Souls item on an Interface Filter to request Souls stored in your system.[2]
  3. Attach a Soul Pipe to the Interface. It will use its Warden Souls to power Soul Surges.[2]

Unverified The sources I have contain no recipes, tiers or upgrade stages for the mod's own items, so I can't give a tier breakdown for Soulplied Energistics beyond the quest above.

Which FTB StoneBlock 4 quests use Soulplied Energistics?

2 parts

Soulplied Energistics has one quest in the pack, and it sits in the Storage chapter. That chapter is in the Forgotten Knowledge group and is chapter 17 of 22 in the quest book. The quest is "Soulplied Energistics" quest, and it is a simple checkmark task, so there is nothing to hand in.[2]

What the quest tells you

The quest describes the mod as an addon for IF Souls that lets you move souls around with AE2. It walks through three steps, in this order:[2]

  1. Attach a Storage Bus to the Soul Laser Base. Your network can then access the Warden Souls inside it.[2]
  2. Right-click any IF Souls item on an Interface Filter to request the Souls stored in your system.[2]
  3. Attach a Soul Pipe to the Interface. It will use its Warden Souls to power Soul Surges.[2]

Where it sits in the quest book

The quest comes after two others: a quest in "Storage" in the same chapter, and a quest called Transporting Souls. I can't show you Transporting Souls here, because its chapter isn't in the sources I was given.[2]

The ME Storage Bus quest asks for the ME Storage Bus plus the ExtendedAE tag, mod and precise storage buses. It comes after "AE2 Processors" quest, which follows "Processors O' Plenty" quest. That one follows "Certus Quartz" quest, which in turn follows "Digital Storage" quest.[2]

So the route to the Soulplied Energistics quest goes through the AE2 digital storage line first, then the Storage Bus quest. The Transporting Souls quest is the other prerequisite.[2]

Items and blocks

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as soulplied_energistics, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
