What is Ender Storage?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Ender Storage lets you keep your items in The End, so they are everywhere and nowhere at once. Each piece of storage is linked by a color code, and anything with the same code shares the same inventory, even across dimensions.[1]
The three storage types
- EnderChest: the stationary option. You can dye the wool pads on top to change its color code, or craft an EnderChest with three dyes to set the code that way. It behaves like any other chest for blocks that work with chest contents, so it's a great way to move items over long distances instantly.[1]
- EnderPouch: the mobile option. Use it on any EnderChest to copy that chest's color code. It then opens the same inventory as the chest, so you can reach your base resources from your own inventory.[1]
- EnderTank: currently the third type of storage. It works on the same principle as the EnderChest, but it stores liquids.[1]
Who it's for
If you've ever wondered how to get at the stuff in your base when you're far from it, this is the mod for you. Put a chest at home, match a pouch to it, and take your storage with you.[1]
Playing multiplayer? Using a diamond on the latch of an EnderChest moves it to a separate network for the player who used the diamond. Each player then has all 4,096 frequencies without conflicting with anyone else.[1]
In this pack
This pack ships Ender Storage version 2.13.0.191 for Minecraft 1.21.1. It was first included in version 2.25 or earlier of the pack.[2]
Unverified The sources don't show any pack-specific changes to Ender Storage's recipes or configs, so treat the details above as the mod's own behavior. No quests in this pack involve the mod, and it isn't on the ATM Star path.
How do you get started with Ender Storage?
1 part
Ender Storage links storage to colors. Any Ender Storage item with the same color code shares the same inventory, even across dimensions. There are three kinds: the Ender Chest, the Ender Pouch and the Ender Tank. Here is the order I would set them up in.[1][3]
Step by step
- Start with the Ender Chest. It is the stationary storage, and it works like any other chest for blocks that manipulate chest contents, so it is a great way to move items over long distances instantly.[1]
- Set its color code. You can use dye on the wool pads on top of the chest, or use the recolour recipe shown below. Chests with matching colors share one inventory.[1][3]
- Make an Ender Pouch for the road. Use it on any Ender Chest to copy that chest's color code. After that it accesses the same inventory as the chest, so your base resources are right in your inventory.[1][3]
- Add an Ender Tank when you need liquids. It works on the same principle as the chest, but it stores liquids.[1][3]

How does Ender Storage work?
4 parts
Ender Storage works on one idea: color codes. Every piece of Ender Storage with the same color code shares one inventory, even across dimensions. The mod comes in three flavors: Ender Chest, Ender Pouch and Ender Tank.[1][3]
Ender Chest
The Ender Chest is the stationary option. Every chest with the same color buttons shares one inventory, so you can drop items in at one spot and pull them out at another. It also behaves like any other chest for blocks that manipulate chest contents, which makes it handy for moving items over long distances instantly.[1]
To change its color code, use dye on the wool pads on top of the chest. You can also craft the chest together with three dyes. The pack has a dedicated recolour recipe for it, shown below.[1][3]
Ender Pouch
The Ender Pouch is the portable version. Use it on any Ender Chest and the pouch takes on that chest's color code. From then on it opens the same inventory as the chest, so you can reach your base's stuff from your own inventory.[1][3]
The pack also has a recolour recipe for the pouch.[3]
Ender Tank
The Ender Tank works on the same principle as the chest, but it stores liquids instead of items. Tanks with the same color code share the same fluid storage.[1][3]
It has its own recolour recipe in the pack as well.[3]
Multiplayer: personal networks
On a server, use a diamond on the latch of an Ender Chest. That moves the chest to a separate network for the player who used the diamond. Each player then has access to all 4096 frequencies without conflicting with anyone else.[1]
Unverified Capacity limits, fluid capacity, transfer speeds and any pack-specific tweaks to this mod are not covered by the available sources. The pack has no config files for it, so check in-game before relying on those details.
How do you progress through Ender Storage?
The recipe data for this pack doesn't show a tier ladder for Ender Storage, so there is no upgrade path to walk through here. What it does show is a recolour recipe for each of the Ender Chest, the Ender Pouch and the Ender Tank. They use the mod's own recolour recipe type, and the pack's recipe data lists no item inputs for them.[3]

So the items you'll work with are the chest, the pouch and the tank, and recolouring is the only crafting step the pack's recipe data confirms for them.[3]
Which Ender Storage config options matter?
3 parts
Ender Storage has only a handful of options, all in anarchyMode's file, config/EnderStorage.cfg. These are the ones you're most likely to care about, and the exact values this pack uses.[4]
Storage size
item_storage_size sets the size of each Ender Storage inventory. 0 means 3x3, 1 means 3x9 and 2 means 6x9. This pack sets it to 1, so each inventory is 3x9, which is also the default listed in the config.[4]
Locking to a player
On the mod's project page, using a diamond on the latch of an Ender Chest moves it to a separate network for the player who used it. That way each player gets all 4096 frequencies without conflicts in multiplayer.[1]
personalItem controls which item does this lock for Ender Chests and Tanks. In this pack it is set to Cut Diamond, so that is the item you use on the latch.[4]
anarchyMode is set to false here. If it were on, chests would lose their personal settings and drop the diamond when broken. With it off, that doesn't happen.[4]
Cosmetic options
- disableCreatorVisuals is false in this pack. When true, it disables the tank on top of creators' heads.[4]
- useVanillaEnderChestsSounds is false in this pack, so Ender Storage uses the standard chest sounds. Setting it to true switches to vanilla's Ender Chest sounds.[4]
