What is AllTheCompressed?
This pack ships AllTheCompressed version 5.0.0, using the file allthecompressed-26.1.2-5.0.0.jar. It has been in the pack since at least the 0.8.0-beta release, so it isn't a new addition.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what AllTheCompressed adds, which items or recipes it provides, or where it fits in the pack's progression. I can't confirm any of that, so I'm not guessing. No platform metadata or in-jar guidebook was available for the mod either. Check the mod's own page or look in-game before relying on specifics.
Unverified I also have no confirmed information about whether the mod sits on the ATM Star path or has any quests in this pack. Treat both as unverified until you've checked in-game.
How do you get started with AllTheCompressed?
2 parts
AllTheCompressed is a content mod, and everything in this pack's recipe list for it sits under a compress path. Each material comes in numbered tiers, from 1x up to 9x. The visible list covers Acacia Logs, Acacia Planks, Blocks of Allthemodium, Aluminum Blocks, Blocks of Amethyst, Ancient Logs, Ancient Stone, Andesite and the Antimatter Block.[2]
Every one of these tiers is a shaped crafting recipe, so you make them in a normal crafting grid. There's no machine or special station to set up first.[2]
Start with the 1x tier
The lowest tier of any material is the place to start. Andesite is a good one to try first, because both its tiers show up in the recipe list I can see. Here is the in-pack recipe for Andesite 1x.[2]
Then step up one tier at a time
Each tier has its own separate recipe. Once you have the 1x item, look at the next one up, Andesite 2x.[2]
- Pick a material, such as Andesite, Ancient Stone or Acacia Planks.[2]
- Craft its 1x item, for example Ancient Stone 1x.[2]
- Move up to the 2x recipe, and keep going through the tiers one recipe at a time, up to 9x.[2]
Unverified The recipe dump lists no item inputs for these recipes, so what each tier actually needs is unconfirmed. The same goes for what the compressed items are used for in this pack. Open the recipe blocks or check the recipe in game before you gather materials.
How does AllTheCompressed work?
2 parts
AllTheCompressed is a simple mod, and the sources for this pack don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation for it. What they do show is a large family of compressed blocks, each made through a regular crafting-grid recipe.[2]
Tiered compressed blocks
Items come in numbered tiers. For example, Acacia Log 1x goes up to Acacia Log 9x, and Acacia Planks 1x goes up to Acacia Planks 9x. The Block of Allthemodium runs from Block of Allthemodium 1x to Block of Allthemodium 9x.[2]
Aluminum follows the same pattern. The visible part of the recipe list covers Aluminum Block 1x through Aluminum Block 8x. The list is cut off after that, so I can't confirm from the sources whether a 9x tier exists.[2]
How you make them
Every compressed item in the visible list is made with a shaped crafting recipe, and the recipe ids all sit under the compress/ path. You craft each tier in a normal crafting grid, so no machine is involved. The recipe dump doesn't list the ingredients, so check the recipe view in-game for the exact layout. Here are two examples of the pattern:[2]
Crafting Shaped
9 × Acacia Log
Recipe id: allthecompressed:compress/acacia_log_1x
Crafting Shaped
9 × Acacia Log 1x
Recipe id: allthecompressed:compress/acacia_log_2x
The dump says 2,828 more recipes are not shown. I can't say which blocks they cover or what they look like, so treat anything beyond the blocks above as unconfirmed.[2]
Unverified No machines, multiblocks, power or fluid handling, or item automation for AllTheCompressed are documented in the sources. The pack has no config files for this mod, no in-jar guidebook, and no tooltip text to check. Details such as what each tier is used for, or how to feed these blocks into other systems, are unverified.
How do you progress through AllTheCompressed?
2 parts
AllTheCompressed adds compressed versions of materials, and in this pack each material is split into numbered tiers, from 1x up to 9x. That tier ladder is the progression you work through with this mod.[2]
How the tiers are laid out
Every tier is its own item with its own crafting recipe, and the recipe ids follow the pattern compress/<material>_<tier>x. For example, Andesite 1x is the 1x tier of Andesite, and Andesite 9x is the 9x tier.[2]
The recipes I can see are all shaped crafting recipes, so you make each tier at a crafting grid. The recipe dump lists no item inputs for them, so I can't tell you what each step consumes. The recipe cards below are rendered straight from the pack, so check those for the exact layout.[2]
The 1x tier of Andesite.
The 2x tier of Andesite.
Which materials have tiers
These materials each have tiers 1x through 9x in the recipes I can see: Acacia Log, Acacia Planks, Block of Allthemodium, Aluminum Block, Block of Amethyst, Ancient Log, Ancient Stone, Andesite, Antimatter Block and ATM Star Block. Basalt is visible from 1x to 7x in the part of the dump I have.[2]
- Wood: Acacia Log 1x, Acacia Planks 1x and Ancient Log 1x.[2]
- Stone: Ancient Stone 1x, Andesite 1x and Basalt 1x.[2]
- Metals and gems: Aluminum Block 1x, Block of Amethyst 1x and Block of Allthemodium 1x.[2]
- Other blocks: Antimatter Block 1x and ATM Star Block 1x.[2]
Unverified The sources here show no quests in this pack that involve AllTheCompressed, and the mod is not on the ATM Star quest path, so there is no quest order to follow for it. The quest book is where any such guidance would live, and it is not shown in the sources here.
