What is Just Enough Stuff?

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.6 guide

This pack ships Just Enough Stuff version 1.21.1-1.2.0, using the file jeistuff-1.21.1-1.2.0.jar. It was already in the pack by version 2.0.5 or earlier, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't describe what Just Enough Stuff does, so this page doesn't explain its features or how to use it.

How do you get started with Just Enough Stuff?

1 part

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.5 guide

Good news first: there's nothing you need to craft or set up to start with Just Enough Stuff. Nothing I can confirm shows an item, recipe or quest for this mod in the pack, so there's no first-items checklist here.[2]

What you'll actually see

What the mod does provide is descriptive text. It labels the conditions behind loot and drops with plain-language lines like "A specific loot table", "A certain time of day", "A specific block state" and "A datapack predicate". It also has a line for kills made while the target is on fire ("Killed while on fire").[2]

Enchantments get the same treatment. The mod describes random enchantment pools as "A random enchantment", "A random non-treasure enchantment", "A random treasure enchantment" and "A random trade-priced enchantment". So when an entry says an enchantment is random, you can tell which pool it comes from.[2]

There are also labels for world generation and fluids. Ore entries get a summary in the form "veins/chunk, size", and a note "Generates everywhere except" for places an ore is missing from. Fluid entries can say "Must be a source block". If a condition is one the mod doesn't recognise, it shows "An unknown condition".[2]

Tip: Treat these lines as a legend: they explain the conditions on loot, enchantment and ore information, so read them before you decide where to hunt or mine.[2]

Unverified I couldn't confirm any recipes, craftable items, config options or quests for this mod in this pack, so I can't give you a list of first items to make. Check back if that changes.

How does Just Enough Stuff work?

2 parts

Just Enough Stuff has no machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item handling for you to set up. Nothing in the sources describes any of that, so there is nothing to automate. What the sources do show is a set of short explanatory texts the mod owns, which it uses to describe conditions and requirements.[3]

What the mod's text strings describe

The mod's language file groups its text into a few categories. Together they show what kinds of information it can put on screen. These are only the labels, and the sources don't say where each one appears.[3]

  • Loot conditions: a specific block state, an active enchantment, a datapack predicate, a certain time of day, or a specific loot table.[3]
  • Enchantment pools: a random enchantment, a random non-treasure enchantment, a random treasure enchantment, or a random trade-priced enchantment.[3]
  • Fluid notes: "Where it touches no other fluid" and "Must be a source block".[3]
  • Ore generation: a summary line showing veins per chunk and vein size, plus a "Generates everywhere except" label. The actual numbers are filled in at runtime, so the sources don't give any.[3]
  • Kill requirements: "Killed while on fire", "A random enchantment", and a fallback "An unknown condition" for anything the mod can't describe.[3]

The entity blacklist

The mod ships an entity type tag called blacklist in the jeistuff namespace. It lists the minecart entities from the everythingcopper namespace: the plain copper minecart, plus the spawner, chest, command block, furnace, TNT and hopper variants. Every entry is marked as not required, so the tag still loads if that other mod isn't installed.[4]

Unverified The sources don't say what the blacklist does in practice, for example which screen or feature skips these entities.

The pack has no config files for this mod, and no recipes produce its items. There are no settings to tune and nothing to craft.[3][4]

How do you progress through Just Enough Stuff?

There is no tier ladder to climb for this mod. The only data the sources show for it is an entity type tag called blacklist, so this section stays short.[4]

The blacklist tag lists these Everything Copper minecart entities, and each entry is marked as not required:[4]

  • The plain copper minecart (everythingcopper:copper_minecart)[4]
  • The spawner copper minecart (everythingcopper:spawner_copper_minecart)[4]
  • The chest copper minecart (everythingcopper:chest_copper_minecart)[4]
  • The command block copper minecart (everythingcopper:command_block_copper_minecart)[4]
  • The furnace copper minecart (everythingcopper:furnace_copper_minecart)[4]
  • The TNT copper minecart (everythingcopper:tnt_copper_minecart)[4]
  • The hopper copper minecart (everythingcopper:hopper_copper_minecart)[4]

What changed in Just Enough Stuff between versions?

Just Enough Stuff is at version 1.21.1-1.2.1 in All the Mods 10 8.2, shipped as the file jeistuff-1.21.1-1.2.1.jar.[5]

The All the Mods 10 8.2 changelog lists Just Enough Stuff 1.21.1-1.2.1 as added in that release. The pack's mod list only says it was first included in 8.2 or earlier, so if you're on an older pack version, check your own mod list.[5][6]

Unverified No changelog for the mod's own releases is stored for the shipped jar, so there are no confirmed details on what changed between Just Enough Stuff versions.

Items and blocks

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as jeistuff, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
