Jumpy Boats in All the Mods 10

Jumpy Boats does one simple thing: it lets you make small jumps while you're riding a boat. That means you can steer out of the water and straight onto land, and even climb small slopes, without getting stuck at the shoreline.^[1]

The mod's own description pitches it at anyone who moves animals or villagers by boat. Those trips are a pain when the boat can't get over the bank, and the jump fixes that.^[1]

In this pack

The pack ships Jumpy Boats version 1.21.0-1.0.5. It has been in the pack since 2.25 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.^[2]

It is a quality-of-life mod. It doesn't add a progression step, a machine or a crafting chain. If you travel by boat, you get the jumping behavior just by having the mod installed.^[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests, an in-jar guidebook, an ATM Star path entry, or any pack-specific changes to recipes or configs for this mod, so I can't say anything about those.

Good news: there's nothing to craft to get started with Jumpy Boats. It adds no items of its own, so you don't need to make anything first. Once the mod is in the pack, it works while you're riding a boat.^[1]

The mod lets you make small jumps while in a boat. That means you can travel from the water onto land and even scale small slopes, instead of getting stuck at the shoreline.^[1]

Why it's worth using early

The mod's own description says it's meant to make moving animals and villagers by boat much less painful. If you plan to ferry mobs across a river or lake to a base, it saves you from having to dig out a landing spot.^[1]

What to do first

1. Get into a boat, using any boat you already have.^[1]
2. Head for the shore and try hopping from the water onto land.^[1]
3. Try a small slope next to see how far the jumps carry you.^[1]

Unverified The sources don't confirm which key triggers the jump, how high or far it goes, or whether the pack changes any config values for this mod. No quests or recipes in this pack involve it, so check the in-game controls menu for the keybind. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

Jumpy Boats doesn't add machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item handling. It changes one thing: how boats move. While you ride a boat, you can make small jumps.^[1]

What the jump does

• You can hop out of the water and onto land while still sitting in the boat.^[1]
• You can scale small slopes in the boat.^[1]
• Moving animals and villagers by boat gets easier, because you no longer need to unload them at the shoreline.^[1]

Unverified The project page doesn't say which key triggers the jump, how high or how often you can jump, or whether the pack changes any behavior. This pack ships no config files for the mod, and no recipes produce its items. Test it in a boat to see how it feels.
