What is FTB Teams?

FTB Teams is part of the pack, and you'll find version 2101.1.4 in this version (the NeoForge build, ftb-teams-neoforge-2101.1.4.jar). It has been in the pack since 2.2 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list rather than a recent addition.[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't describe what FTB Teams does, who it is for, or how it plays in this pack. I can't confirm its features, its commands or its configuration here, so I've left them out rather than guess. I also can't confirm that any quests or the ATM Star path involve it, so check in-game before you rely on either.

How do you get started with FTB Teams?

FTB Teams is about playing together, so your first step in this pack is to set up a team rather than craft anything. The mod's own description of the Party team type says you can create one to invite members and progress together.[2]

  1. Create a Party team if you plan to play with friends. This is the team type meant for inviting other players so you can progress together.[2]
  2. Invite the people you want to play with once the Party team exists.[2]
  3. Click the team entry in the interface to show its team info and check that everything looks right.[2]

Doing this first means everything you build and unlock from then on is shared with your group, instead of you having to sort it out later.[2]

Unverified The sources I have for this mod don't show any craftable items, in-pack recipes or quests for FTB Teams, so there is nothing to craft at the start. The exact menu or key you use to open the team screen, and what each team type does beyond the Party description, are also unconfirmed.

How does FTB Teams work?

2 parts

FTB Teams is a team-management mod, and the sources I have for this pack only describe a small part of how it works. There is nothing here about machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation, so I won't cover those.[2]

Party teams

The mod's own text says you can create a Party team to invite members and progress together. If you're playing with friends, this is the feature to look for first.[2]

Viewing team info

The interface has a clickable element that shows team info. The in-game tooltip reads "Click to show team info".[2]

Unverified The sources don't confirm how to invite players, what permissions members have, how teams share progress or quests, or which config options affect any of this. This pack has no config files for the mod in the sources, and no recipes produce the mod's items, so check in-game before relying on any of those details. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How do you progress through FTB Teams?

FTB Teams doesn't have tiers or a crafting path in this pack, so there is nothing to climb here. What the pack gives you is a single quest in the Welcome chapter that shows you how to start a team.[3]

That quest is a quest in "Welcome". The quest book asks you to create a team for you and your friends with the command /ftbteams party create (name of team). It's a checkmark quest, so there's nothing to craft or hand in.[3]

Tip: The pack's quest book says quests are optional and that mods are not gated behind completing any quests.[3]

The same chapter also has a quest about claiming chunks: a quest in "Welcome". It asks you to open your map with M and click the Claimed Chunks icon in the top left, then left click and drag to claim. It also mentions shift-left clicking a chunk to force load it.[3]

Unverified This pack has no recipes for FTB Teams items, and the sources don't describe any tiers or upgrades for it. Anything beyond the team command above is unconfirmed here.

How does FTB Teams work with other mods?

FTB Teams doesn't have any item recipes that combine it with other mods in this pack, so there's no crafting tie-in to show you. Its connections here come from the quest book instead.[3]

The "Welcome" chapter is where the pack's quest book covers it. One quest (a quest in "Welcome") tells you to make a team for you and your friends with the command /ftbteams party create (name of team).[3]

Right alongside it in the same chapter, a quest in "Welcome" explains chunk claiming. You open your map with M, click the Claimed Chunks icon in the top left, and left click and drag to claim. Shift-left click a chunk to force load it, and you'll see lines across the chunk when it worked. The quest text doesn't say how claims relate to teams, so check how your claims behave in your own world before you count on sharing them.[3]

a quest in "Welcome" covers other helpful commands like /sethome, /spawn and /rtp. It says their cooldowns and limits are edited in ftbessentials.snbt, in the serverconfig folder of your save (singleplayer) or of the world (servers).[3]

Tip: Quests in this pack are optional and no mods are gated behind them. You can set up a team whenever you like without finishing anything first.[3]

Unverified No recipes, scripts or other data files linking FTB Teams to other mods were found, so any deeper integration is unconfirmed.

Which All the Mods 10 quests use FTB Teams?

FTB Teams only shows up in one chapter of the quest book: Welcome. It's a small intro chapter, so there's nothing to grind for here.[3]

The quest that covers the mod is a quest in "Welcome". It's a checkmark quest with no title of its own. It tells you that if you want a team for you and your friends, you use the command /ftbteams party create followed by the name of your team.[3]

Tip: Quests in this pack are optional, and mods are not gated behind completing any of them. You can create a team whenever you like, whether or not you tick off the quest. a quest in "Welcome" in the same chapter explains this.[3]

The other Welcome quests aren't about FTB Teams. "Welcome to All The Mods 10!" quest is the chapter's intro. a quest in "Welcome" explains claiming chunks from the map. a quest in "Welcome" lists handy commands. If you're setting up a team, those are worth a read too.[3]

What changed in FTB Teams between versions?

1 part

Here's how FTB Teams has moved along through the pack's releases. The pack changelogs only record version bumps, so there's nothing here about what each update changed inside the mod itself.[4][5][6]

In All the Mods 10 4.14 you get FTB Teams 2101.1.4. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.2 or earlier.[1]

Updates across pack releases

  • All the Mods 10 2.29: updated from 2101.1.1 to 2101.1.2.[6]
  • All the Mods 10 4.7: updated from 2101.1.2 to 2101.1.3.[5]
  • All the Mods 10 4.11: updated from 2101.1.3 to 2101.1.4. This is the version you still have in 4.14.[1][4]

Unverified What actually changed inside each FTB Teams version (features, fixes or behavior) is unverified. No changelogs for the shipped jars were available, so I can't say what these updates did.
