What is Cobblegen Galore?

Cobblegen Galore is part of the pack's mod list. This pack ships version 1.21.1-0.2.9 of the mod, and it has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]

Unverified I can't confirm from the available sources what Cobblegen Galore actually does, what its items or recipes are, or whether it has any configuration. There is no mod description or in-jar guidebook on file for it, so I'm not going to guess from the name.

Unverified ForgeBase has no data placing Cobblegen Galore on the ATM Star path, and no quests in this pack involve it. Where it fits in progression is unconfirmed, so check it in-game before you plan around it.

How do you get started with Cobblegen Galore?

3 parts

Cobblegen Galore adds a line of block generators, from the Stone Block Generator up to the Netherite Block Generator. Every one of them is a shaped crafting recipe with glass plus one other material, so you can start building them as soon as you have the materials.[2][3]

First: the Stone Block Generator

Start with the Stone Block Generator. It is the only generator whose recipe does not use an ingot or a gem, since it asks for smooth stone instead. That makes it the cheapest entry point. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[2]

Next: the metal generators

The Copper Block Generator, Iron Block Generator and Gold Block Generator each combine glass with an ingot of their own metal. The recipes accept any ingot in the matching common tag.[2]

Last: gems and netherite

The Diamond Block Generator and Emerald Block Generator follow the same pattern, but with a gem from the matching common tag. The Netherite Block Generator uses a netherite ingot with glass.[2]

Tip: The mod's JEI text includes the line "Source block is consumed", so look at what JEI shows for a generator before you build around it.[3]

How does Cobblegen Galore work?

2 parts

Cobblegen Galore is built around block generators. The sources for this pack only explain a small part of how they work, so this section sticks to what they confirm.[2][3]

The generators

The mod adds one block generator per material: Stone Block Generator, Copper Block Generator, Iron Block Generator, Gold Block Generator, Diamond Block Generator, Emerald Block Generator and Netherite Block Generator.[2][3]

Each generator has a shaped crafting recipe, and the pack lists all of them as the mod's own recipes. Nothing in the sources shows the pack changing them, so these are the recipes you will use.[2]

What the sources say about operation

The mod's text includes the JEI line "Source block is consumed". That tells us at least one recipe shown in JEI uses up a source block when it runs. The sources do not say which generators or recipes this applies to, so check the JEI entry for each generator in game.[3]

How do you progress through Cobblegen Galore?

3 parts

Cobblegen Galore gives you a family of block generators in this pack, one per material: Stone Block Generator, Copper Block Generator, Iron Block Generator, Gold Block Generator, Diamond Block Generator, Emerald Block Generator and Netherite Block Generator.[2]

Each one is a shaped crafting-table recipe. Below is the exact in-pack recipe for every tier, going from stone up through the metals and gems to netherite.[2]

Tip: The copper, iron, gold, diamond, emerald and netherite recipes each take any item from the matching common tag (ingots or gems), so you are not locked to one specific item for the material slot.[2]
