Steam Age: New Beginnings

Modern Industrialization is a mod which is similar to IC2 and GregTech in its nature but you must progress differently than those 2 mods. Through these quests, I will guide you to making parts required for the Infinity Armor.

Asks for: Copper Ingot

Forge Hammer is the beginning of your journey. It has a lot of uses like getting a better output out of your ores to making components for future crafts. The Hammer you crafted is not required for a recipe but it will give you a better output on the components you craft.

Asks for: Diamond Hammer, Forge Hammer, Iron Hammer, Netherite Hammer, Steel Hammer

The Forge Hammer will allow you to easily crush Copper Ingots or Ore forms into its Dusts.

The Steam Drill will be your best friend for early game mining. It is able to do a 3 by 3 mining area as well as have a toggle-able silk touch. You can toggle 3 by 3 mining by pressing the keybind "Toggle 3x3 Mining" which is default set to 'Y'. Silk Touch can be toggled by Sneak Right-Clicking the Steam Drill To fill the Steam Drill, you can hold the drill over a fuel in your inventory and Right-Click. Water can be either Right-Clicked in world or you can carry a water bucket around.

The Forge Hammer will allow you to easily crush Tin Ingots or Ore forms into its Dusts.

The Forge Hammer acts as the workstation block for the Modern Industrialization villager. This villager will give you a wide variety of useful trades.

Bronze will act as the building block of the Steam Age. Cooking this dust will get you the Bronze Ingots we'll further use.

Bronze Boiler converts water into steam. Steam will act as fuel for your machines to work in the Steam Age. To use the machine, simply provide it with water and any furnace fuel. This will raise the temperature of the machine, at maximum temperature it will be able to handle 4 machines simultaneously.

The Cutting Machine enables you to do a lot of crafts. The important ones are the Bolts. Cutting machine works with Lubricant which is obtained by using the Mixer.

The Mixer will allow us to combine items and fluids. They can be used to dye items or even duplicate them.

The Coke Oven will be used to convert Coal to Coke. Coke is 4 times as effective as a fuel than Coal. The multiblock can be previewed by holding a wrench in your off or main hand. Holding hatches in your hand will tell you the possible positions for them. The Coke Oven is a hollow multiblock made up of mostly bricks.

The Bronze Furnace acts just like a regular one, only major difference is it runs on steam and is twice as fast.

The Compressor is used to make Plates, Curved Plates and Rings.

Combining the Coke dust with Iron will give Uncooked Steel Dust. Cooking it in the Steam Blast Furnace will yield you Steel Ingots required for future progression.

The Steam Blast Furnace unlocks new horizons of progression. This will be a key multiblock in your future endeavours. Not only will this multiblock allow you to make Steel Ingots but also it allows processing of Raw Synthetic Oil to Synthetic Oil which will be used later for Rubber and more things.

All multiblocks are defined by the hatches put in them. Upgrading these hatches in the multiblocks will upgrade the machine as a whole.

Steel Machines use twice as much steam as the Bronze ones but they also make up for it with the twice the speed increase.

The Packer is used to create Double Ingots, Blades and Cables. Along with this there are many other uses for the machine but these will be the main ones for you.

The Quarry is a multiblock to generate resources. It requires Drills and Steam to function. Every iteration has a chance of consuming the Drill. Better Drills give better resources. Steam Quarry can only use Copper and Bronze Drills. It can also use Dirt to generate Stones.

The Wiremill is able to apply just the right amount of force to make Wires for us. Shocking!! I know...

A Circuit will require some of these basic components to function, automating parts of these will be useful in the future.

Using the newly constructed Wiremill, we can now make Wires and Fine Wires which will lead us into electrics.

The Alloy Smelter comes from Extended Industrialization. It combines the task of Mixer and Furnace into one, hence making the job less tedious.

Production of Rubber for your move into The Electric Age is trivial. Automating it at the earliest will take you further than you believe.

The Unpacker has a lot of uses from being able to unpack Block into Ingots and more to recycling parts of machines. You can even get easier Silicon Ingots from it.
