Ultra Beasts

Ultra Wormholes tear open without warning in The Other, gateways to the alien dimension the Ultra Beasts call home. Roughly once an hour a wormhole forms and an Ultra Beast steps through as a buffed, high-level boss. Wear it down, then catch it before the rift closes. There is no shrine and no summoning item - you simply have to be there when the sky splits open. A Beast Ball gives you the best odds.

Nihilego is an Ultra Beast that drifts like a jellyfish, thought to be a parasite that latches onto a host and warps its mind with venom. Watch for it at an Ultra Wormhole in The Other, and bring it down when it emerges.

Buzzwole is the Swollen Pokémon, an Ultra Beast of grotesque muscle that flaunts its bulging body with sudden, ground-cracking poses. Catch it from an Ultra Wormhole when it forces its way through.

Pheromosa is the Lissome Pokémon, an Ultra Beast of blistering speed and grace that refuses to let anything dirty touch it. Run it down at an Ultra Wormhole before it slips away.

Xurkitree is the Glowing Pokémon, an Ultra Beast like a tangle of living cables that drains whole power grids to feed its electric body. Catch it when it surges out of an Ultra Wormhole.

Celesteela is the Launch Pokémon, an enormous Ultra Beast shaped like a rocket, said to scorch the forests around it as it takes off. Bring it down at an Ultra Wormhole in The Other.

Kartana is the Drawn Sword Pokémon, an Ultra Beast folded like origami yet sharp enough to slice through a steel tower in a single stroke. Catch it when it cuts its way out of an Ultra Wormhole.

Guzzlord is the Junkivore Pokémon, a colossal Ultra Beast that devours everything - buildings, mountains, the sea - and never seems to fill. Face the glutton at an Ultra Wormhole and catch it.

Stakataka is the Rampart Pokémon, an Ultra Beast that looks like a towering wall of stacked creatures roused into motion. Topple it at an Ultra Wormhole and add it to your team.

Blacephalon is the Fireworks Pokémon, an Ultra Beast that lures people close with a dazzling show, then detonates its own head to scatter them. Catch it when it bursts out of an Ultra Wormhole.

Poipole is the Poison Pin Pokémon, a rare and oddly affectionate Ultra Beast that fires venomous barbs when it gets excited. Catch it at an Ultra Wormhole - raise it with enough friendship and it evolves into the menacing Naganadel.
