What is Repeatable Trial Vaults?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Repeatable Trial Vaults is a small quality-of-life mod for the trial vaults you find in trial chambers. Normally you get one claim of loot from a vault. With this mod, you can reset a vault by consuming another key, so you can keep claiming its loot.[1]

The pack includes version 1.0.3 of the mod, built for NeoForge on 1.21.[2]

Who it's for

If you enjoy trial chamber loot and want to farm a vault you've already opened, this mod is for you. You don't need to hunt for a fresh chamber every time.[1]

How it works

  • By default, a vault is reset by consuming another key. That is the mod's default behavior, and the sources don't show the pack changing it.[1]
  • Which items can reset a vault is controlled by the item tag repeatable_trial_vaults:can_reset_trial_vaults. Edit that tag if you want a different reset item.[1]
  • The mod can run server side only. If you also have it on your client, it shows which items can reset the vaults.[1]

Where it fits in progression

Unverified No quests in this pack involve the mod, and it isn't on the ATM Star path. We found no in-jar guidebook either, so treat it as an optional extra for trial chamber loot rather than a progression step.

How do you get started with Repeatable Trial Vaults?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Good news: there's no gear grind to get going with this mod. It lets you reset a trial vault by consuming another key (by default), so you can keep claiming the loot from the same vault.[1]

Your first steps

  1. Find a trial vault and claim its loot the way you normally would.[1]
  2. Hang on to a spare trial key. By default, consuming another key is what lets you use the vault again.[1]
  3. Check your item tooltips. If you have the mod on your client, items that can reset vaults show the line "Can Reset Trial Vaults".[1][3]
Tip: The mod can run server side only, but with it installed on your client you get the tooltip that shows which items can reset vaults. That makes it easy to check what works.[1][3]

Which items can reset a vault?

The list of items that can reset vaults is controlled by the repeatable_trial_vaults:can_reset_trial_vaults item tag. Editing that tag changes which items work.[1]

Unverified The sources don't show any in-pack recipes or quests for this mod, and they don't say whether the pack changed the default reset item from the mod's own default. Check the tooltip in-game to see what works in your world.

How does Repeatable Trial Vaults work?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

This mod is very small, and there are no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item pipes to set up. It does one thing: it lets you reset a trial vault so you can keep claiming its loot.[1]

How resetting works

By default, you reset a trial vault by consuming another key. The mod's description says the point is to let you keep claiming the loot from the same vault.[1]

If you have the mod on your client, items that can reset vaults show the tooltip "Can Reset Trial Vaults". That makes it easy to check whether an item works.[1][3]

Server side and client side

The mod can run server side only. If it is also installed on the client, you get the tooltip that shows which items can reset vaults.[1]

Which items can reset a vault

The list of items that can reset vaults is controlled by the item tag repeatable_trial_vaults:can_reset_trial_vaults. Editing that tag, for example with a datapack, changes which items work.[1]

Tip: Hover over an item and look for the "Can Reset Trial Vaults" tooltip. It is the quickest way to see whether an item can reset a vault.[1][3]

Unverified The sources do not say whether this pack changes the default reset item or edits the item tag. The pack has no config files for this mod, and no recipes produce its items, so check in game by looking for the tooltip on the item you want to use.

What changed in Repeatable Trial Vaults between versions?

All the Mons 1.3.0 ships Repeatable Trial Vaults 1.0.3, using the NeoForge 1.21 build of the mod. It has been in the pack since All the Mons 0.3.0-beta or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the modpack.[4]

The mod's own release history includes a 1.0.2 and a 1.0.3 version, and 1.0.3 is the one you get in this pack.[4][5][6]

Unverified The available changelogs for 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 don't list individual changes, and there are no pack changelog entries for this mod. What changed between those versions, and whether the pack altered any of its behavior, is unverified.

Items and blocks

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as repeatable_trial_vaults, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
