Rebind Narrator in All the Mons

Rebind Narrator does one small job: it lets you change the Narrator keybinding in Minecraft, which vanilla doesn't allow. If the Narrator hotkey keeps getting in your way while you play, this mod is the fix.^[1]

It is meant for any player who runs into that key by accident or wants it for something else. It adds no items, blocks or machines, so you won't craft anything with it or find it in the progression.^[1]

In this pack

The pack ships Rebind Narrator 2025.12.23 for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1. It has been included since version 2.25 or earlier.^[2]

NeoForge and Forge already have a better built-in keybind system, so the mod doesn't add integrations there. The keybind-extension integrations described on the project page (AMECS and NoMoreUselessKeys) are Fabric-only and don't apply to this pack.^[1]

Unverified No quests and no ATM Star path steps involving this mod were found in the material provided for this guide, and no in-jar guidebook was found either.

The sources I have don't list any items, recipes or quests for this mod in the pack. That means there's no first item to make and nothing to unlock. You just use the rebind.^[1]

What to expect from the keybinding

On Forge and NeoForge, the mod doesn't add any integrations with keybind-extension mods, because the built-in keybind system there is already better.^[1]

On Fabric (1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.11 and 26.1.2), the mod integrates with the keybind-extension mods AMECS (v1.2 and later) and NoMoreUselessKeys, as of v2026.08.31. Support for AMECS Reborn and older AMECS versions was removed in that release.^[1]

Unverified Exactly where the rebind shows up in the pack's controls screen, and what the Narrator key is bound to by default, isn't confirmed by the sources I have. Check the in-game controls menu to see it for yourself.

Rebind Narrator has no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation, so there is nothing to build or pipe here. The mod does one job: it lets you change the Narrator keybinding in Minecraft, which you can't do in vanilla.^[1]

Keybind-extension mod compatibility

On Fabric, as of v2026.08.31, Rebind Narrator integrates with the keybind-extension mods AMECS (v1.2 and later) and NoMoreUselessKeys. This applies on Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.11 and 26.1.2.^[1]

• Supported on Fabric: AMECS v1.2 and later, and NoMoreUselessKeys.^[1]
• Removed in v2026.08.31: support for AMECS Reborn and older versions of AMECS.^[1]
• Forge and NeoForge have no mod integrations, because their built-in keybind system is better.^[1]

All the Mons 1.3.0 ships the NeoForge 1.21.1 build of Rebind Narrator, version 2026.08.31. The mod was first included in All the Mons 0.3.0-beta or earlier. Here are the changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.^[3]

2026.08.31 (the version in this pack)

• Adds support for 26.1.2.^[4]
• For the 1.21.11 Fabric and NeoForge builds, the custom narrator keybind no longer interferes with the Ctrl-F2 panorama screenshot keybind. The author says the two are processed in the same place and a mixin ordinal was missed. This fix is listed for 1.21.11, not for 1.21.1, so don't assume it applies to this pack's build.^[4]
• The rest of this release is Fabric-only compat work: updated AMECS support for 1.20.1, original AMECS 1.2 and later for 1.21.1 and 1.21.11 (replacing Amecs Reborn on 1.21.1), and No More Useless Keys compat back for 1.21.1 and 1.21.11. All the Mons uses the NeoForge build, so none of this applies to you.^[3][4]

2025.12.23

• Adds support for 1.21.11. The author says this is probably the final 1.21.5 release, since few people play it anymore.^[5]
• Updates the build tooling. With the new version of Loom, Fabric mods no longer ship a separate refmap file. The author calls this a big change and asks for reports of mixin apply failures. This is a Fabric-side change.^[5]
• Updates to the latest ModderNameLib.^[5]

Unverified No All the Mons changelog entries for this mod were available, so any pack-specific changes to it between pack releases are unconfirmed.
